  • 100% browser, mobile-focused
Swerver gameplay: the player's white ship dodges two neon-pink obstacles heading toward a cyan orb

ABOUT THE GAME

The line never stops

Swerver is pure reflex: swipe horizontally to dodge along a central line, and while your ship returns from the dodge, swipe again in the same direction to redirect mid-arc. Clearing obstacles raises your multiplier; crashing resets it (but the game keeps going). Cyan orbs are worth 100 × multiplier, and grabbing several in a row without getting hit builds a combo of up to ×3.

Ten "Lines" wait for you, each one a little more merciless. Clear all ten and Endless mode opens up, for whoever wants to see how far their own reaction can take them.

HOW TO PLAY

Controls

Touch and drag horizontally, the faster/longer the gesture, the wider the arc. On desktop, click and drag with the mouse works the same. Arrows/A-D and gamepad are experimental support. In settings you can toggle gyroscope (iOS), music, sound effects, vibration, high contrast, reduced motion, and colorblind mode (obstacles gain a pattern, not just color).

TECH SHEET

Credits

Zero build, zero dependencies, canvas and pure JS, entity pooling for stable performance on weaker phones. Ambient soundtrack and sound effects generated via Web Audio, no external files.

NOTE FROM IDEABOB

Why I made this

I wanted a game to play on my phone, on the bus, in a line, a thirty-second session or a ten-minute one, nothing to load. Swerver is exactly that: a simple idea (don't crash into the thing) taken all the way to pure reflex, session after session.
